It is interesting that this reorientation of how to approach a patient is also what is done in dance interventions for Parkinson's disease and others--rather than patients, the teacher will call them "dancers." I wonder whether that in itself is an active ingredient of the intervention...

Two takeaways for me - first, this, from Cort

“If you’re not occasionally in awe, you’re probably not paying attention. There is always something to be in awe of.”

And second, the importance and power of community, Sangha, participating in and contributing to something larger than ourselves.
